Acapulco port (port code: MXACA) is medium-sized port of call for shipping and cruise lines running between Panama and San Francisco, California, United States. It situated on the Pacific coast in Guerrero Province, Mexico, 380 kilometres (240 miles) south of Mexico City.
The well sheltered harbour, privately operated by Grupo TMM, is a popular cruise destination and has facilities alongside for passenger, cargo and oil vessels. The deep anchorage can accommodate the largest cruise vessels. The export of motor vehicles is a major function.
Over 268,800 passengers and 160 vessels, including 27 pure car carriers and 135 cruise vessels visit the port annually. The types of vessels regularly calling at the port are oil/chemical tanker (37%), pleasure craft (33%) and sailing vessel (14%). The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 200 meters.
