Akureyri port (port code: ISAKU) is an important port and fishing centre in Iceland, located approximately 240 km (150 miles) northeast of the country's capital city Reykjavík. The port offers a sheltered natural harbor with three cruise berths and an anchorage for both small and big ships.
As a major cruise port, Akureyri port handled a total of 124 ship calls in 2017 and this number grew to 138 in 2018 with around 130,000 passengers. Most of the visiting vessels are on Iceland circumnavigation itineraries.
