Bangkok Port (port code: THBKK), commonly known as Kaduying Port, is a large international commercial port in Thailand and one of the 100 busiest container ports in the world. It lies about 40 kilometers from the Gulf of Thailand on the Chao Phraya River.
Covering about 941 acres, 344 of which are within the customs area used for operational purposes, the port contains 2 main quays, the one in the west for general cargo vessels and the one in the east for container vessels, as well as dolphins and mooring buoys for 20 vessels. There is a new container terminal at Ayutthaya, upriver from Bangkok, which will eventually link to the Laem Chabang hub terminal.
The port offers facilities for handling break bulk, container and liquid. It handles approximately 18.3 million tons of cargo, 1.5 million TEUs annually. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 53%; and tankers, taking up around 30%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 213 meters. The maximum draught is 9.6 meters. The maximum deadweight is 39,481t.
