Batangas Port (port code: PHBTG), or locally known as the Batangas Pier, is a large seaport in Barangay Santa Clara, Batangas City, primarily serving the Calabarzon region of the Philippines. It is located in the south of Luzon Island, opposite the north shore of Mindoro Island, 120 kilometers south of Manila.
The Batangas Container Terminal (BCT) is a major trading port outside Metro Manila serving major industries in Southern Luzon. The port is also a gateway for passengers, Roro/ferry (terminal 2) and tourist traffic. There are 3 passenger terminals located inside the port, after the toll entrance. Facilities exist for the accommodation of passenger/Ro-Ro, general cargo vessels and tankers.
The port handles approximately 19.7 million tons of cargo and 1,300TEU annually. Domestic rolling cargoes and international bulk and break bulk cargoes are handled. Each year about 5.5 million passengers and 39,000 vessels visit this port. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for around 42%; and tankers, taking up approximately 37%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 294 meters. The maximum draught is 13.4 meters. The maximum deadweight is 110,200t.
