Bayonne Port (port code: FRBAY) is a medium-sized port in France. It is located at the entrance to the River Adour, on the west coast of France.
The port has a number of public and private cargo handling facilities positioned on both sides of the river. These facilities can accommodate cruise, general, bulk and oil vessels.
The port handles approximately 3.75 million tons of cargo annually. The principal cargoes handled are maize, steel exports, chemical liquids in bulk, gasoline, fuel oil and fertiliser.
Each year about 800 vessels visit this port annually, among which around 41.5% are cargo vessels, 22.6% are tankers, and 15% are sailing vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 178 meters. The maximum draught is 8.7 meters. The maximum deadweight is 37,084t.
