Bengkulu Port (port code: IDBLU/ IDBKS) is a medium-sized port in Indonesia. It is situated on the southeast coast of Sumatera.
The port is mainly an anchorage port but has a boat harbour protected by breakwaters. Only small craft can enter this port and moor alongside the pier. Deep draught vessels use the new port of Pulaubaai which is mainly used for the export of coal from Indonesia's largest open cast mine at Tanjungenim, 160 kilometers east.
The port handles approximately 2 million tons of coal annually. Main imports entering this port include general cargo and petroleum products. Principal exports leaving this port are rice, coffee and timber products.
The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are dredging vessels, accounting for about 41%; cargo vessels, taking up around 29%; and tankers, taking a proportion of 29.5%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 200 meters. The maximum draught is 9.7 meters. The maximum deadweight is 63,507t.
