Cape Coast Port (port code: GHCCT) is a fishing port in southern Ghana. It is located in the centre of the seaboard of Ghana, on a low promontory jutting into the Gulf of Guinea of the Atlantic Ocean about 75 miles (120 km) southwest of the Ghanaian capital of Accra.
In 1962, the port was closed to international shipping. Today it is considered a very laidback fishing port that is home to scenic landscape, beautiful sandy beaches, historic landmarks, crumbling colonial buildings, and coastal forts and castles. It exports cocoa beans and has food and fishing industries.
