Eckernforde port (port code: DEECK) is a medium-sized port in Germany. Situated on the southwest of Eckernforde Bight, it borders directly on the long spa beach with its promenade and is in the immediate vicinity of the old town and the city center.
The funnel-shaped city harbor offers numerous berths for ships of all sizes. A bridge with a hinged section separates the outer harbor from the inner harbour. The inner harbor has a good 100 berths and is mainly used by residents with smaller boats. Occasionally fishing cutters and traditional sailing ships come alongside the quays. The main outer harbour is used by small commercial vessels, fishing vessels and local passenger craft.
The port handles approximately 70,000t of grain, 10,000t of general cargo and 300,000 passengers annually. Each year about 120 vessels visit this port, among which around 30% are military ops. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 150 meters. The maximum draught is 6.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 3,500t.
