Port of Figueira da Foz (port code: PTFIG / PTFDF) is a central west coast Portuguese port. Located south of Aveiro, it is medium in size and used chiefly by fishing boats and vessels up to 3,000GT due to draught restrictions.
The port has a general cargo berth and a dry bulk terminal. As a tidal port, arrivals and sailings are subject to tides. Delays may occur owing to bad weather, especially during winter months. The main cargoes handled by this port include paper and pulp, sawn timber and logs, steel mill products. Dry bulk cargoes such as clay, china clay, gypsum, limestone, coal and cullet are handled.
Approximately 355 vessels visit the port annually, among which about 44% are cargo vessels, and around 36.5% are fishing vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 140 meters. The maximum draught is 6.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 8,865t.
