Garston port (port code: GBGAR / GBGTN) is a small port in United Kingdom. It is situated on the north bank of the River Mersey, 10 kilometers south of Liverpool.
There are three inter-connected docks, Stalbridge, North Dock and Old Dock, accessed by a lock from the river. The port is capable of handling a variety of cargo, using quayside cranes or ship's gear. The principal cargo handled are steel, grain, metals, timber, chemicals, fertilisers, coal and feedstuffs.
The port handles approximately 600,000t of cargo and 140 vessels annually. About 75% of the vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 117 meters. The maximum draught is 6.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 7,400t.
