Hitachinaka port (Port Code: JPHIT/JPHIC) is a small-sized port. It is situated Northeast of Tokyo in Ibaragi Prefecture at approx position 35°55'N 140°40'E. The port, part of the Ibaraki Port, consists of North and South Wharfs, and a basin situated about 1nm of the South Wharf, all protected by East Breakwater. Hitachinaka also handles coal, project and breakbulk cargo. Port expansion is ongoing with additional land reclamation taking place.
