Midland (Port Code:CAMID), one of the major Ontario grain ports, is situated in the southeast part of Georgian Bay. The port is equipped with three elevators the largest having a grain capacity of 126,000t. The navigation season is from mid Apr to mid Dec. The three mooring stations owned by Transport Canada, Canadian Coast Guard, Harbours and Ports Directorate are utilised as a winter berthing area. MidlandPort uses the same terminal operating system as Lyttelton Port, allowing for seamless transfer of containers between the site with full visibility of containers at all times.
