The Port of Portland (port code: USPWM) is a medium-sized port in the United States and the largest port of New England. Situated in the southern part of Maine, it is a large, deep, well-sheltered harbour, open all year round.
As the Atlantic Terminus of pipeline shipments of petroleum products to Canada, this port handles approximately 22,000,000t of cargo annually. The main products handled are petroleum products, paper, wood-pulp, scrap metal, coal, salt and container goods.
