Porto Azzurro (Port Code:ITPAZ) is used since ancient times as a natural harbor in the Tyrrhenian sea, it has a wide range of marine services for yachts and sailboats, among which includes a 4 tons crane, 200 tons travelift, carpentry, fiberglass and paint services. It is located in a sheltered bay atthe east coast of Elba island in Italy. This picturesque harbor has 242 berths for boats and yachts up to 90 meters in length and 5.5mts draft. The port has a small commercial and ferry terminal catering for the Island's passenger and leisure industry. By booking a berth in this port, you can make a technical or leisure stop before continuing to other destinations at the Mediterranean sea, as you will find available a gas station, nautical shop, supermarket and seamanship services among others.
The harbour is very picturesque and in consequence is very busy with tourists during the season. Yacht berths are also at a premium during the busy months of July and August and it may be necessary to anchor on arrival and wait for a berth to become available. The bay of Porto Azzuro is well sheltered, although a southeast sea breeze sets in during the summer and can send a slight swell into the harbour and anchorages. The west side of the harbour is filled with small craft moorings.
