Puerto Angamos Port (Port code: CLANG) is located in Mejillones, which is a privileged location in the heart of the Chilean mining region, just 1400 km from Santiago and 65 km from Antofagasta. It is a mono-operated multipurpose terminal with four berths for vessels with a maximum draft of 13.7 meters, 155,000 tons displacement and 366 meters long. It has ample container storage, and storage for general, special and copper cargo. The port has rapid railroad access and access to highways along the B-262 and B-400 roads, with railroad connections to the principal mines in Argentina and Bolivia, and paved highways through border crossings to mines at Jama, Sico and Peine. The terminal has global connections through weekly maritime services to destinations on the Pacific coast of Asia, and Europe, North America and the Caribbean.
