Tacloban Port (Port Code: PHTAC) is a port located on the western coast of Leyte Island, at the southern entrance to the channel which divides Leyte Island and Samar Island. The port of Tacloban is the baseport of the largest Port Management Office (PMO) in the port district of Visayas. The port offers good anchorage in two areas in depths of up to 10.5m. The port's main commercial interest is the export of copra. It serves Tacloban City, Leyte and the surrounding area. The port caters vessels to and from Metro Manila and Guiuan, Eastern Samar. It also serves as a fishing port.
