Kotoka International Airport (IATA: ACC, ICAO: DGAA) is an international airport in Accra, and it is the only international airport in Ghana. Airports Council International has recognized the "Best Airport in Africa" for both 2019 and 2020. The airport occupies 1610 acres (651 hectares) within the city of Accra, and it is about 10 kilometers from the City Centre.
Kotoka International Airport consists of two passenger terminals, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Terminal 2 serves only domestic flights, while Terminal 3 serves regional, international, and long-haul operators,it also has the capacity for large aircraft such as the Airbus A380. Terminal 1 is not available for use currently but will be redeveloped into an FBO. Kotoka International Airport serves as a hub for domestic and regional operator Africa World Airlines and a base for domestic operator Passion Air. In 2019, the airport served a record 3.019 million passengers.
