V. C. Bird International Airport (IATA code: ANU, ICAO code: TAPA), an international airport located on the northeastern end of island of Antigua, and 8 km (5.0 miles) northeast of St. John's, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, is the point of entry for visitors arriving by air to Antigua and Barbuda.
The airport has two terminals. The newer one, which began its operation on 26 August 2015, covers 23,000 square meters (247,570 square feet), with four jet bridges, modern security screening facilities, up-to-date passenger processing and monitoring facilities, and a CCTV security system. It was designed to host 1.5 million passengers per annum.
