Bastia – Poretta Airport (IATA code: BIA, ICAO code: LFKB) is the second busiest airport complexan airport, serving Bastia on the French mediterranean island of Corsica. It is located 17 km (11 mi) south southeast of Bastia at Lucciana, both of which are communes of the Upper Corsica department.
The airport can handle up to 1,500,000 passengers a year and in addition to the check in hall and departure lounge, the single terminal houses several shops and a zone that provides free, high speed internet access. The Airport has 400 parking spaces of which 70 are provided free of charge to passengers. The Airport also has a passenger welcome/assistance service that caters for disabled or reduced mobility passengers, so that they can fully benefit from the facilities available in the terminal building.
