Bujumbura International Airport (IATA code: BJM, ICAO code: HBBA), also known as Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, is a public airport serving Bujumbura, the former capital of Burundi. It is Burundi's only international airport and the only one with a paved runway.
Located 11 kilometers (6 miles) northwest from the city centre, it is the busiest airport in Burundi and operates with flights to different destinations in Africa and Europe, especially Belgium. In 2017, the airport handled 131, 477 passengers.
