Damascus International Airport (IATA code: DAM, ICAO code: OSDI) is the largest and busiest airport in Syria. Established in 1968, it is a French consortium that has been chosen to implement all the works and serves Damascus, the capital of Syria.
The airport has two passenger terminals, one for domestic flights and the other for international flights. A third terminal whose construction has been postponed due to external aggression will soon see its work begin to increase the airport's capacity to 16 million passengers a year.
In the first few months of 2022, the airport received an average of 1,068 passengers with 13 flights every day.
