Gimpo International Airport (IATA code: GMP, ICAO code: RKSS), commonly known as Gimpo Airport, is an airport functioning as Seoul's secondary airport. Located south of the Han River, some 15 kilometers (9 miles) west of the Central District of Seoul, the airport was the main international airport for Seoul and South Korea before being replaced by Incheon International Airport in 2001.
In the financial year 2019, the airport handled 25,448,416 passengers and 253,395t of cargo with 140,422 aircraft movements.
