Strigino Airport (IATA: GOJ, ICAO: UWGG)), also referred to as Nizhny Novgorod International Airport, is the international airport serving the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It is located on the outskirts of the city's Avtozavodsky District, 14 km (8.5 mi) southwest of city centre. Operated by Nizhny Novgorod International Airport (MANN), Strigino is responsible for serving the 3,281,000 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
It started operations in 1923 and is regarded as one of the oldest airports in the country. It gained international status in 1993. The civil terminal offers a very large apron that can accommodate 44 aircraft. The airfield supports 24-hour flight operations. Several Ministry of Interior Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft are based here. Lufthansa has a regular service to Frankfurt from this airport.
It served 1,131,8741 passengers in 2014 and 134,534 passengers in 2018.
