Invercargill Airport (IATA code: IVC, ICAO code: NZNV) is a fully secured controlled international designated aerodrome in New Zealand and the southernmost controlled airport in the Commonwealth. Located 3 kilometers from Invercargill’s city centre and 28 kilometers from South Port in Bluff, the airport offers regular air transport services providing connections to all main airports including scheduled direct flights to Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington (operated by Air New Zealand), Stewart Island (operated by Stewart Island Flights) and regular national and international charter flights.
This airport is the twelfth-busiest airport in New Zealand by passenger traffic and also acts as an alternate option for Queenstown Airport during winter ski season and weather diversions. Having a main secured terminal, a backup international secured terminal and 5 tarmac gates, the airport is certified to accommodate small private international passenger flights and customs inspection and quarantine areas can be made available by prior arrangement.
