Jalalabad Airport (IATA code: JAA, ICAO code: OAJL) is an airport in Afghanistan, which has long been used for military and emergency relief purposes. It is located 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) southeast of Jalalabad city.
The airport is currently maintained by the Taliban, although they do not possess or maintain an air force as of the time the airport was captured from the Afghan Air Force in the 2021 Taliban offensive.
The airport was heavily used in the past by the United States Armed Forces and civilian contractors. They operated out of Forward Operating Base Fenty. Members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Resolute Support Mission (RSM) also used the airport in the past. Currently, there are no scheduled airlines operating at the airport except military and UN aircraft.
