Krasnoyarsk International Airport (IATA code: KJA, ICAO code: UNKL) is a major airport serving the city of Krasnoyarsk, a major industrial centre in central Russia and administrative centre of Krasnoyarsk Krai. It is located 27 kilometres (17 miles) northwest of Krasnoyarsk, right next to a smaller airfield, Cheremshanka, with which people often confuse it because they share their runway bearings - 11/29 - with each other.
It was formerly known as Yemelyanovo International Airport, In 2017, It had new name Krasnoyarsk International Airport.
The runway condition, the facilities and the technology of aircraft handling allows the airport to service more than 50 types of passenger and freighter aircraft. Its terminal capacity is up to 5,000,000 passengers per year. In 2019, the airport was ranked as the 16th busiest airport in Russia with 2,481,914 passengers handled.
