Eugenio María de Hostos Airport (IATA code: MAZ, ICAO code: TJMZ) is a small public airport, offering only limited, domestic commercial service. Covering an area of 172 acres (70 ha), it is located four miles (6 km) north of the central business district of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
The airport used to be the main air gateway to the western region of Puerto Rico, until Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla took over that position. It gained international status in 2003, when Fina Air picked up the route to Santo Domingo.
For a 12-month period ending 31st December, 2016, the airport had handled a total of 4,242 aircraft operations.
