Malmö Bulltofta Airport (IATA: MMA, ICAO: ESMM) was the main airport for the city of Malmö, Scania, Sweden, from 1923 to 1972. Located in the Malmö city district of Kirseberg, Bulltofta airport became an important European airport, with flights to Great Britain, France and the Netherlandshas. The 1950s and 1960s saw the arrival of mass tourism and jet aircraft, which MMA was too small to accommodate, and it had become a source of noise pollution for the surrounding area. A new airport was needed further away from Malmö. So it was converted into a major park and commercial development. This part of Sweden is now served by Malmö Airport, and Copenhagen Airport, Denmark.
