Portland International Airport (IATA Code: PDX, ICAO Code: KPDX) is a joint civil-military airport and the largest airport in the U.S. state of Oregon, accounting for 90% of the state's passenger air travel and more than 95% of its air cargo. The airport covers 3,000 acres (1,214 ha) of land. It is often referred to by its IATA airport code, PDX. PDX has direct flights and connections to most major airports throughout the United States and non-stop international flights to Canada, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Iceland. Public transit service to the airport is provided by TriMet, the metropolitan area's primary transit agency, with its MAX Red Line light rail service. During late nights, assistance is provided by the 272-PDX Night Bus route. By road, the terminal is accessible from exit 24 on Interstate 205.
