Puerto Princesa International Airport (IATA code: PPS, ICAO code: RPVP) is a public airport serving the general area of Puerto Princesa. Located in the province of Palawan in the Philippines, it is the main gateway to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and is classified as an international airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
The airport inaugurated a new passenger terminal complex on May 3, 2017, which has an upgraded handling capacity of 2 million passengers annually, with an estimated peak passenger flow of 690 passengers per hour. In 2018, the airport handled a total of 2,146,350 passengers (2,046,628 domestic and 99,722 international), and 16,968,071 kilograms of cargo (16,955,042 domestic and 13,029 international), with 20,087 aircraft movements (19,404 domestic and 683 international).
Phase 2 of the airport development includes expansion of the passenger terminal building, construction of a parallel taxiway, additional apron area and a runway extension.
