Riyan International Airport (IATA code: RIY, ICAO code: OYRN), also known as Riyan Mukalla International Airport, is a public airport serving Mukalla, Yemen. Located approximately 18.7 miles (30.1 kilometers) northeast of Al Mukallā, it is the third largest in the country.
The airport was shut down for six years from 2015 when Al-Qaeda seized Mukalla. During the period of time, it has been closed to civilian flights and used for military purposes by the United Arab Emirates, which is a member state in a Saudi-led coalition fighting in the country.
