Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (IATA: SGN, ICAO: VVTS) is the busiest airport in Vietnam. It is located 4 mi (6 km) north of the center (District 1) of Ho Chi Minh City. Tan Son Nhat International Airport consists of two terminal buildings: Terminal 1 for domestic travel and Terminal 2 for international travel. It serves Ho Chi Minh City as well as the rest of southeastern Vietnam. The domestic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi is the busiest in Southeast Asia and the fourth busiest globally, which achieved 38.5 million passengers in 2018.
