Turku Airport (IATA code: TKU, ICAO code: EFTU) is a public airport serving Turku, Finland. It is located 8 kilometres (5.0 miles) north of the city centre, in Lentokenttä district in the Maaria-Paattinen ward of Turku.
Because the airport is just 20 minutes from the seaports of Turku and Naantali, whose combined values are comparable to the Port of Vuosaari in Helsinki, a logistic hub called Logicity was built around it. Logicity is supposed to link the different modes of transportation together.
In 2019, the airport handles a total of 452,927 passengers, an increase of 22.6% from the previous year, among which 106,825 were domestic. During the same period of time, it also handled 3,692 tons of freight.
