Capitán FAP Carlos Martínez de Pinillos International Airport (IATA code: TRU, ICAO code: SPRU), known as Aeropuerto Internacional Capitán FAP Carlos Martínez de Pinillos in Spanish, is an airport serving Peru's third largest city, Trujillo, as well as the beach community of Huanchaco.
Located in the La Libertad Region, it is the main air hub in northern Peru and the main gateway for tourists visiting the city of Trujillo as well as the nearby ruins of Chan Chan, the largest adobe city in the world. Several transportation options including buses, taxis and shuttles connect all parts of the city with the airport.
The air terminal provides domestic flights, mainly to Lima , Chiclayo , Piura and Talara. Annually, the airport provides it's services to more than 560, 922 passengers to let them reach their desired destinations.
