Abu Dhabi Port (port code: AEAUH), also known as Mina Zayed Port, is a medium-sized commercial deep-water port serving the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located centrally on the Gulf coast of UAE.
Covering an area of 510 hectares, the port comprises 21 berths in a sheltered harbour, handling containers, Ro-Ro, reefer, tanker and general cargo. It handles approximately 8.6 million tons of cargo which includes 767,700TEU annually. Cargo handled includes vehicles and bulk, containerized, and general cargo. Commodities handled include grain, processed foods, pharmaceuticals, and manufactured and agricultural products.
The port boasts a sophisticated, well-equipped container terminal that was opened in 1981. The terminal covers 41 hectares and has capacity to store 15 thousand TEUs of containerized cargo at once. It is served by four deep-water berths with 15 meters draft and a total of 931 meters long.
Over 2,000 vessels move through this port each year, among which around 53% are dredging vessels, 16% are military vessels, and 12% are cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 332 meters. The maximum draught is 13 meters. The maximum deadweight is 101648t.
