Ancud Port (port code: CLACD / CLZUD), also known as Port of San Carlos, is a medium-sized port in southern Chile. It lies on the northern coast of Chiloé Island, on the northern point of the main island, Isla Grande, across the Strait of Chacao, in the Los Lagos Region of Chile.
Founded in 1767, the port is dominated by the ruins of Fuerte San Antonio, the last Spanish stronghold in the country, which finally surrendered to independent Chile in 1826. It was once a center of international trade, but now it is mainly a fishing port.
Timber is the principal export leaving this port. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 13 meters.
