Aomori Port (port code: JPAOM / JPAOJ) is a medium-sized commercial port in Japan. It lies on the shores of Matsu Bay, at the northern tip of Honshu, surrounded by the Tsugaru and Shimokita Peninsula and facing Mutsu-wan.
The port is in a strong strategic position as a crossroads for trade between Japan with China, Russia, and Korea. It also has great potential to become a transportation hub between Asia and North America.
