Aratu Port (Port Code: BRATU) is a Large-sized Port located on the northeastern side of Baia de Todos os Santos (All Saints’ Bay), one of the biggest bays in Brazil, in the state of Bahia, approx. 11 n.m. north of Salvador. The Port handles solid and liquid bulk and gas. Facilities include two solid bulk terminals, one liquid bulk terminal and one gas products terminal. There are also private terminals operated by Ford, Grande Moinho Terminals and Dow Quimica SA, used for the loading and unloading of chemical products such as caustic soda and liquid propane oxide, glycols, perchlorethylene and crude TET via flexible hoses. Main imports include petrochemicals, coal and fertilisers. Main exports include petroleum and gas products, chemicals.
