Bangor Port (Port Code: GBBAN) is a port in County Down, Northern Ireland. As the largest marina in Northern Ireland, it opened in 1989 on the southern shores of Belfast Lough, close to the Irish Sea cruising routes. The marina has become well known for providing a berth in the centre of Bangor. Bangor is also Northern Ireland’s primary sailing destinations and boasts the country’s biggest and most prestigious marina, which plays host to numerous sailing events each year. It has also been awarded Five Anchors by the Yachting Harbour Association. The town of Bangor is a popular seaside resort, which attracts travelers in holidays.
