Basse Terre Port (port code: GPBBR) is a newly built harbour in Guadeloupe. It is situated on the southwest coast of Basse-Terre, one of a group of islands which form Guadeloupe.
The port offers facilities for handling break bulk and dry bulk. It handles approximately 56,300t of general and containerised cargo annually.
The port consists of an open harbour capable of accommodating cargo vessels, cruise liners and inter island Ro-Ro traffic. It handles about 2,000 cargo vessels per year. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 171 meters. The maximum draught is 8 meters. The maximum deadweight is 29,092t.
