Bhavnagar Port (port code: INBHU), also known as the Nagar Port, is a medium-sized seaport in the Sorashtra region of Gujarat State in western India. It is located in the Gulf of Cambay on India's northwest coast, near the head of an inlet which mostly dries.
There are lock gates 21-meter wide near the entrance to the inlet. There are two jetties in the port, one for coasters and lighters and one for lighters and harbour craft only. Vessels can take fresh water and bunkers at either the anchorage or the berth.
The port handles approximately 1 million tons of cargo annually. The main imports entering this port include rock phosphate, coal, coke, building materials, fertilisers, timber, iron scrap and sulphur. The principal exports leaving this port are oil cakes, salt, GN oil, scrap, onions, clay, grape seeds.
Vessels up to 19.8 meters in beam and 144 meters in length can enter the port. Larger vessels up to 12.0 meters in draught can load/discharge at the anchorage. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 248 meters. The maximum draught is 5.6 meters. The maximum deadweight is 4,243t.
