There are two main berths, seven anchorage berths and a fishing port in the port area. Quays for general cargo, containers and oil products are also available.
The port offers facilities for handling break bulk, containers and liquid. It handles about 500,000 tons of cargo annually. The main imports entering this port are cement and general cargo. The principal exports leaving this port include fish, groundnuts, palm kernels, timber and vegetable oil.
