Bitung Port (port code: IDBIT) is the main port for Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. It is situated at the northwest tip of Sulawesi province, approximately 15 nautical miles from Manado.
The port has 10 berths and offers facilities for handling container and liquid. It handles approximately 4.76 million tons of cargo and 166,000TEU annually. The main export leaving this port is copra with approximately 216,000t being produced every year. The port also handles container traffic and petroleum products, and is the major tuna fish port in the region.
Each year about 4,700 vessels visit this port, among which around 40.5% are cargo vessels, and 30% are tankers. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 231 meters. The maximum draught is 10 meters. The maximum deadweight is 50,548t.
