Bizerte Port (port code: TNBIZ) is a medium-sized multi-purpose dry port in Tunisia. It is located in the north extremity of Tunisia, approximately 70 kilometers northwest of Tunis, and just 15 kilometers from Africa's northernmost point at Cap Blanc.
Covering 74 hectares of land area and 161 hectares of water surface, the port offers facilities for handling break bulk, liquid and dry bulk. It also contains 22 thousand square meters of open-air paved storage areas and five warehouses that support port operations with a total of over two thousand square meters. The harbour is protected by two jetties, and the entrance between these jetties is in turn protected by a detached breakwater giving two entrances.
The ports throughput of traffic is chiefly made up of cement, oil, wood, steel, cereal and clinker. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 51.5%; fishing vessels, taking up around 14%; and tankers, taking a proportion of 11%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 250 meters. The maximum draught is 10.4 meters. The maximum deadweight is 122,039t.
