Brunswick Port (port code: USSSI) is one of the East Coast's most dynamic seaports, and it is US’s sixth busiest port for automobiles, being the main export facility for Ford, General Motors, and Mercedes-Benz and also a busy import facility for Jaguar, Porsche, Volvo, Hyundai, Land Rover, Kia, and Mitsubishi. It is situated on the Eastern seaboard, 131 kilometers north of Jacksonville and 150 kilometers south of Savannah in the state of Georgia.
The port comprises 3 deepwater terminal areas, Colonel's Island Terminal, Mayor's Point Terminal and Logistec USA Inc. Each terminal area has several berths for large ocean-going vessels. The port also has facilities for handling Ro-Ro, general cargo, vehicles, bulk, break bulk and liquid cargoes.
The port handles approximately 2.3 million tons of cargo and 326,000 vehicles annually. The principal commodities handled in the port are seafood, woodpulp, salt, gypsum rock, petroleum products, fertiliser, and chemicals.
