Burgas Port (port code: BGBGS / BGBOJ) is a medium-sized commercial port in Bulgaria. It is situated on the west coast of the Black Sea, approximately 105 nautical miles north-northwest of Istanbul.
The port consists of two main parts: Port of Bourgas, and the Oil Harbour, 3.5 nautical miles southeast, operated by Lukoil Nefochim. There is also a seasonal passenger port in Nessebar, operated by Port of Bourgas. It also has 23 berths for general cargo vessels, 4 berths for bulk cargoes, 3 piers for tankers and 2 Ro-Ro berths.
The port handles approximately 6.8 million tons of cargo, 25,936TEU, 10,000 passengers and 1,329 vessels annually. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 64%; and tankers, taking up around 20%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 252 meters. The maximum draught is 12 meters. The maximum deadweight is 117,153t.
