Castellammare di Stabia Port (Port Code: ITCDS/ITCAS), also known as Stabia Main Port, is a port situated at the end of a sandy beach of Torre Annunziata, in the Gulf of Naples, around 16km southeast of Naples. The port has facilities for general and bulk cargoes including salt and cereals. There is also a shallow fish harbour at Banchina Mare Morto. The principal industries are food processing, wood, metal works. Imports include macaroni, potatoes, wine, fruit, cement, lime and iron. The sectors that most drive the development of the port are shipbuilding and pleasure boating. The proximity to the Sorrento coast and the archaeological sites of Pompei (6 km) and Herculaneum (20 km) boosts the tourism and attracts the luxury boats to call at this port.
