Chios Port (Port Code: GRJKH) is a port located on Chios Island in the Aegean Sea. It is 3.5 miles from the peninsula of Eritrea in Cesme. As the principal port for Nisos Khios, it comprises an outer anchorage and an artificial harbour for ferries and small general cargo vessels. The port is able to accommodate 2 passenger / cargo ships of 20,000 tons and 1 passenger ship of 700 tons at the same time. The maximum depth of the port is 8.20 meters. In the southern part many fishing boats, sailing boats and yacht anchor there. Constructed in July 1985, it is the only marine gateway for passenger ships. According to statistics, 104,500t of cargo, 3,830 vessels and 502,500 passengers are handled annually.
