Cigading Port (port code: IDCIG) is the deepest port in Indonesia. It is situated on the west coast of Java, 2 nautical miles east of Pulau Ular, facing the Sunda Strait.
The port is private, under the jurisdiction of Merak Pilot Station and operated by PT Krakatau Banedar Samudra, a subsidiary company of PR Krakatau Steel. It has facilities for importing bulk iron ore and exporting steel products from 3 general cargo berths. The main berths are on a concrete T jetty with further smaller wharf inshore. There is also an offshore CBM for the discharge of oil cargoes for the steel works.
The port handles approximately 4 million tons of cargo annually. Cargo handled include corn, soybean, sugar, soybean meal, iron ore, gypsum coal, salt and general cargo. Each year about 312 vessels visit this port, among which around 63% are cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 333 meters. The maximum draught is 14.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 306,951t.
