Coishco Port (port code: PECOI) is a lighterage port in Peru for loading of refrigerated cargo (deep frozen fish). It is situated north of Chimbote, in Bahia de Chimbote.
The bay is well protected, with a water depth of 9.1-10.9 meters in the southeast part. Vessels must enter at Chimbote and be piloted round for mooring, but can sail direct, despatches being sent overland. Stevedores are supplied by shippers, and only tally clerks for vessels account are brought by the agency from Chimbote. Fishmeal produced at Coishco is shipped by Chimbote.
